quality movies.
There’s something so solid about watching great movies. I’m the kind of guy who just throws a movie in or clicks it on Netflix while I’m doing other things to have some background noise. Sometimes though, they can be a little bit TOO good and evoke a little bit much emotion. You can’t devalue these by just playing them and cleaning your kitchen or doing push ups.
Quite...
mr. Jobs
it’s been a couple hours since i heard the news of Steve jobs passing. i can’t really put together a whole lot of thoughts about this because it is mesmerizing how greatly he effected our daily lives. as i type this, i’m on a macbook pro, my iphone 3gs is sitting right next to me and i’m anxiously awaiting the pre-order of the iphone 4s. in the room next to me there is...

This week has been busy. Lots of work and hanging out, and I went to a few shows.
Recommendations this week are all music based. Music is a big part of my life, and a big part of my business as well, therefore I wanted to show some love to bands I’ve seen recently.
The Earth and Everything In It-This band is from North Dakota and I met them last year at Cornerstone when they were known...

One thing I truly despise in this world-spam messages. I get at least one crazy email per day from some person saying for me to wire them money and I’ll make tons of cash off of it or a way to improve my sex life. Email spam is annoying, but Myspace spam is even more annoying. I hate the copy/paste spam messages I receive from bands saying how they’re tired of typing but they just...
So I’ve come up with a new challenge for myself this summer.
Shoot a new portfolio.
Time to get to work!
What a week it’s been. I was thinking about posting a list of things that are “not good” because a lot of random stuff happened this week that I was not at all happy about. Whether it be Best Buy/Geek Squad (don’t get me started,) Wal-Mart, my dog or a few other things, I’ve had quite a few let downs. On the other hand, I fully started my new position at work and...
What's Good v.2
Edition two of my newest installment-What’s Good? Basically what I’m into this week. Nobody probably cares but I can at least reflect on what has inspired me.
Cale Glendening-this guy is seriously the multi tasker I one day dream to be. Not only is he an amazing photographer, his video work is INSANE. He’s worked for the likes of Mark Hoppus, Demon Hunter and Relient K-just...
What's Good?
Hey.
I recently discovered these amazingly talented artists. They have done work for tons of people, from musicians such as the Foo Fighters to August Burns Red, and if my reading is on this evening, they are in the band Demon Hunter. This makes them Christian dudes, which is ultra awesome in my book. Check out their work at www.invisiblecreature.com, it’s seriously some of my favorite...
Questions
What ways can I accomoplish the artistic moves that I want to pull? Photography is a passion of mine, but I’m trying to not let myself be limited to only that. I’m 21 years of age, I want more. I’m enrolled in a college for a graphic design major beginning this fall, so I’m working towards design as a goal, will a 2 year technical college degree put me where I’d...
Today is the Day
For some reason today I have an extreme drive to go out and shoot photographs that wow people. I’m really feeling the creative drive today. What should I go shoot? What lens should I bring? Should I use a flash?
Oh wait I rented out all of my camera gear this morning.
apparently i suck at blogging, my tumblarity is currently 0. i think i’m going to start capitalizing in my posts, maybe that helps.
yesterday was pretty sweet. didn’t do any work, which has been a rarity as of late. woke up this morning and saw this
slightly creepy with a side of awesome.
i picked up ben from his house and he came with me to pick up some new shoes and then we hit up chilis. chicken crispers are the best, for the record.
the clouds were out of control today. that’s one thing i really love...
mtv movie awards
wow. i don’t know what to say really. i knew mtv sucked at live television, but i thought i’d already seen the worst, but we’re all wrong at some point in our lives. some parts of the show i seriously laughed pretty hard at, but the rest was ridiculous and really poorly put together. the stage looked great, the pre production stuff was great (graphics and what-not,) but the...

today was kinda a long day, but not too bad. i woke up at 10, walked desmond, fed him, ate, did a few random things and then went to work 1-5. after that my friend ryan came over and we headed around town to do some of his senior pictures, some of which i really liked. the rest of the weekend will be equally as much madness. lots of work and lots of photos.
what the $%&*
walk the gd cart around the coral’s magical barrier! it takes honestly about 5 seconds. okay maybe 10 seconds if you include walk back time, huffing and puffing.
after i took this i saw a guy with a cart resting against his new toyota 4runner or whatever, and he seemed to be rubbing the bumper as if it had been scratched.
here are my theories as to why this is happening/why this upsets...
ok, double blog night it is.
this past weekend i had a great experience. my friend phil and his parents decided to host 14 of phil’s closest friends at a cabin in lutsen, minnesota. for those of you who don’t know, that’s way the crap up north, less than an hour away from canada. it was a lot of really ridiculous fun.
i drove to eau claire, wisconsin from where i live...
