walk the gd cart around the coral’s magical barrier! it takes honestly about 5 seconds. okay maybe 10 seconds if you include walk back time, huffing and puffing.
after i took this i saw a guy with a cart resting against his new toyota 4runner or whatever, and he seemed to be rubbing the bumper as if it had been scratched.
here are my theories as to why this is happening/why this upsets me.
a) there is a guerilla war raging between wal mart and it’s naysayers. perhaps they want to deter people from going to wal mart and purchasing things so they strategically place carts around the parking lot and people flee out of fear of their car being scratched/dented. or maybe target is paying their employees to do this in order to increase revenue.
b) i hold a standard too high for wal mart. i mean honestly, what can i expect. the crowd who shops at wal mart, ESPECIALLY the elk river walmart, are not of the greatest type. yes there are some cool people who go there, i’m sure. i mean cmon, i go there sometimes, so it must be cool city. but maybe, just maybe, it’s too much to ask to return a cart. i mean why would you want to help a company you just spent money at by helping them out via returning a cart. you’ve already given them money, so they should hire someone to constantly monitor their parking lots in order to avoid such situations. cough.
c) there could be some serious pranksters in elk river who have decided there would be a certain type of hilarity in putting other people’s vehicles in peril.
d) some scientist is experimenting with cloning carts and decided to use the elk river wal mart as his scape goat. he has thus far been successful, but experimentation will continue.
e)……..all of the above
